Silver Liningz is a hybrid group mental health practice based in New York, founded by Dr. Michelle Ilyayev, Psy.D, LMHC, who believes that expert mental health care should be accessible to everyone. Some clients know us as Silver Linings Counseling; Silver Liningz Counseling is the same practice.
We offer secure telehealth sessions to New York residents as well as in-person appointments at our Great Neck and Brooklyn offices. Our practice is committed to providing compassionate, accessible, and professional mental health services tailored to the needs of each client.

Dr. Michelle founded Silver Liningz Counseling with a single goal: to provide expert, compassionate mental health care that people can actually access. She specializes in anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and women's issues.
Her approach is evidence-based but deeply personal; every client is met with warmth, curiosity, and respect. Dr. Michelle draws on CBT, DBT, EMDR, and motivational interviewing to build treatment plans tailored to each person's goals and pace.
